We accept applications for enrolment of children aged between 6 months to 5 years

How to apply to enrol

We welcome applications for enrolment of children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Please fill out this form to go on our waiting list. As places are only available when another child leaves, waiting list times can be unpredictable and it is best if you check back in periodically to see if there have been any movements - since that way we know you remain interested.

If you would like to visit our centre we prefer that you complete the waiting list form first and then ring us to make an appointment to visit. In most cases we aim to book visits between 9am and 11am. If you would like to visit please call us on

Initial fees

On confirmed enrolment, a booking fee will be required to secure the space, when your child starts at the centre, this will become their first week of fees. In the event that you cancel the booking, the fee is non-refundable.

Hours per day children can attend

We are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm and operate on a weekly charge dependent on how many days your child attends, regardless of hours.

Children enrolled in the 20 hours ECE must attend a minimum of 7 hours per enrolled day, Children under 3 must attend a minimum of 6 hours per day.

Days per week children can attend

Children may be enrolled on a part week basis, we require a minimum of 3 days per week. It will not always be possible to match up requests for specific days of the week to available places. If you can be flexible then your chances of getting a place will be much higher.

Children attending after they turn 5

Children who turn 5 while enrolled at the centre are welcome to remain enrolled at the centre until they start at school.

Casual attendance

For children attending part-time, we can sometimes offer additional “Casual” days when other children are away.

These placements will depend on vacancies arising due to notification by other families of the temporary non-attendance of enrolled children. For example, when families go on holiday.

Giving notice of leaving Marlborough Centre

Families are required to provide at least 4 weeks' notice that a child will permanently leave the centre. It would also be helpful if at least 2 weeks' notice could be given before a holiday is taken so that other children may be accommodated on a casual basis.

Although we do operate a waiting list, sometimes places come available at short notice and it is then a matter of filling the place with a child who has the flexibility to start quickly. Therefore please do keep checking on our Facebook page for updates on available places.
